Jayme, Brandon and their family were great. This is one of those weddings that was a lot of work, but a real pleasure. It seemed we were all over the Wenatchee Valley taking photos (including the crazy cool wakeboard images on the river). The ceremony was at Highlander Golf Club, which was incredible. For a light fanatic like myself, it’s hard to beat the sweeping sunset view of the valley that we had from Highlander during the ceremony and reception.

Jayme & Brandon have 68 pages of memories in their album to go along with a stunning 36in canvas of the image above. I also surprised them with my new Fusion slideshow. Saturday I had great wedding for Darren & Jana at the Cave B winery. Darren and Jana are from CA and came here for their day so they could be near family. DJ is an engineer and Jana is a hairstylist, which was fun because she kept was helping with others hair while getting herself ready.

I’ve worked at Cave B before and while the lighting can be challenging, the results can be amazing. The happy couple should be on their honeymoon as I speak. I managed to get the editing done early. DJ & Jana did a great job. My favorite shots are when we snuck off at sunset and went out to the bluff. What a beautiful view of the Columbia river. Then back to the reception where the Disk Jockey spun up some “real vinyl” and kept a great party rolling.

On a sad note, my brand new lens fell off the camera and took some damage towards the end of the night. It’s OK though because it’s to to the repair shop and the pictures turned out awesome, so I’m happy. Enjoy… Gav

Last week I shot an intimate wedding reception for John & Mei. They were married recently, but had a great dinner reception for family and friends at the Warm Springs Inn in Wenatchee WA.

It was a really great place. The grounds around the Inn are amazing. A beautiful mansion leads down to a rolling lawn watched over by a gazebo and leading down to the river edge. I was able to get some amazing photographs at sunset. All that, plus dinner was delicious. Warm Springs is also a B&B. In the summer they host big outdoor weddings on these beautiful grounds.
